The Georgia Department of Education has released the 2023–2024 School Climate Star Ratings, and all Dublin City Schools have proudly earned an impressive 4 or 5 stars!
The diagnostic tool is used to determine whether schools are on the right path to continuous improvement. Each school receives a 1- to 5-star rating, with five stars representing an excellent school climate and one star indicating a school climate most in need of improvement.
Dublin City Schools’ high rankings reflect strong performance across four critical components: 1) perceptions of school climate from students, teachers, and parents; 2) student discipline; 3) a safe and substance-free learning environment; and 4) school-wide attendance.
“These ratings are a testament to the district’s goals of ‘supporting the needs of the whole child’ while ‘providing a safe and healthy environment for all students and staff,’” said Dr. Fred Williams, Superintendent of Dublin City Schools. “We are extremely proud of the commitment and perseverance demonstrated by our students, staff, families and greater school community in earning these 4-star and 5-star ratings.”
The School Climate Star Rating is intended to highlight both strengths and opportunities for growth within our schools. As we look to the future, Dublin City Schools remains committed to continuous improvement and will continue striving to sustain and enhance its ratings. Based on this newly released data, our current ratings are:
- Dublin High School – 4 stars
- Dublin Middle School – 4 stars
- Hillcrest Elementary School – 4 stars
- Moore Street School – 4 stars
- Susie Dasher Elementary School – 5 stars
