Dublin High School is excited to announce the formation of its first-ever JROTC Leadership Academic Bowl (JLAB) team, marking an exciting new chapter in our commitment to academic excellence and leadership development.
“By participating in JLAB, our cadets are not only preparing for higher education but also showcasing the strengths of our JROTC program while building a strong foundation for future success,” explained Dublin High School’s Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, Lt. Col. Bailey.
The JLAB competition pushes cadets to excel in both academic and leadership areas, focusing on essential topics such as leadership principles, current events, and core subjects including English, math, and science.
“JLAB encourages cadets to sharpen their minds while reinforcing the values of discipline, teamwork, and leadership,” said Lt. Col. Bailey. “It also helps them develop test-taking skills for college admissions exams, fostering greater interest and readiness for higher education.”
Based on their academic performance, leadership abilities, and commitment to excellence, the following cadets have been selected for the DHS AFJROTC JLAB Team:
- Sarah Anderson
- Jordan Bostic
- Dwane Bouyer
- Melissa Sanchez
- Rashun Waters
- Kristina Williams
Fighting Irish Family, join us in congratulating these dedicated cadets who are paving the way for success both in competition and in their future pursuits, aligning with Dublin City Schools' vision of developing globally competitive students.
