Dublin City Schools Posts 94.3% Graduation Rate, Among Top in Region and State

After seeing record-high rates last year, Dublin City Schools’ Class of 2024 continued to report strong on-time graduation rates, according to data released today from the Georgia Department of Education.

The Class of 2024’s overall four-year graduation rate was 94.3!  At 92% for Moore Street School and 94.7% for Dublin High School, both high school graduation rates were well above the state average of 85.4%.

With its impressive rate, Dublin City Schools joins the top 23% of school districts and state charter schools across Georgia.  The district also earned the second-highest graduation rate among all school districts within the Heart of Georgia Regional Educational Service Area (HGRESA).

“These outstanding graduation rates are a testament to the perseverance and dedication of our students, the unwavering support of their families, and the hard work of our educators and staff,” said Dr. Fred Williams, Superintendent of Dublin City Schools. “Our success is a collective effort, and it reflects the strong partnerships we’ve built within our community. We are committed to not only maintaining these high standards but pushing even further to ensure every student graduates college and career ready.”

This achievement follows an upward trend, with Dublin City Schools consistently achieving a graduation rate above 90% over the past five years, further demonstrating the district’s dedication to student success.

In addition to these results, 96.26% of students from the Class of 2024 reported post-graduation plans.  Nearly 80% are attending a two or four-year university; 9.35% went straight into the workforce, and 7.48% are serving our country through military service.

As Dublin City Schools continues to build on this success, the district remains dedicated to providing exceptional educational opportunities that prepare all students for success.
