Vice Chairman John Bell

John A. Bell, III, is a lifelong resident of Laurens County with deep roots in the Dublin community. A proud graduate of Dublin High School’s Class of 1970, John has dedicated his life to serving both his community and his family.
Throughout his life, John has worked diligently across various endeavors, including owning and operating the beloved Dublin Drive-In Theater during the 1980s — a cherished local landmark that brought families together for entertainment and community fellowship.
John has always believed in giving back. He is an active member of Christ Episcopal Church, where he has faithfully served on the vestry and volunteers his time supporting the church’s food pantry ministry, helping meet the needs of families throughout the area.
In 1998, John was first elected to the Board of Education, beginning a longstanding commitment to supporting students, educators, and families in Laurens County. His leadership has been guided by his belief in strong schools, responsible stewardship, and community engagement.
John and his wife, Beverly Rogers Bell, share a strong and enduring partnership. They are the proud parents of two children, John A. Bell IV and Ellen-Marie Boatwright, and take great joy in their family and their continued involvement in the community they call home.
